German Type VII U-boat model

I wouldn't deem myself a skilled model craftsman, but I took considerable time and care with this U-boat. It is the first I've made since I was in my teens. I painted the deck a flat black over a wood color, then sanded lightly through the black in various places to show wear. The cables were secured with the aid of superglue, which I've since learned is a staple of a modeller's kit. I painted each of the limber holes in the superstructure, which was difficult. I'm using a fine tip Sharpie pen on the holes of my current model, USS Lionfish, which is easier and more precise.

I apologize for the fuzzy picture. Hope to have a better one soon.
