This site is first and foremost a tribute to the USS CAVALLA and the men who served on her. If you were a member of Cavalla SS/SSK/AGSS 244 at any time, please touch base with me. I could use your stories, experiences, and memories to help fill out Cavalla's history. Who else can tell the tale, but you? Check in with the CAVALLA CREWS
There are nineteen American submarines displayed as museums/memorials in this great nation. SIX are now profiled in the DEEP DOMAIN'S cybersub flotilla. All are similar in many respects; they were built and commissioned in the latter days of the Pacific War or the tense era of containment, they served well into the sixties as deterrents to Soviet ambitions, and they are now memorials to the American Silent Service and the fifty-two boats that did not return to port in the Pacific War. In addition, the Deep Domain features profiles of four other historically significant submarines.
